PE

At our small rural primary school, Physical Education is a vital part of our curriculum, designed to nurture the whole child - body, mind, and spirit - while reflecting our vision to nurture faith and inspire success. Through PE, we aim to develop children’s physical competence, confidence, and enjoyment in movement, encouraging them to lead healthy, active lifestyles. Our PE programme offers a broad and balanced range of activities that foster teamwork, resilience, and perseverance. We ensure that every child, regardless of ability, experiences success, feels valued, and understands the importance of caring for their own wellbeing.

Our PE curriculum is underpinned by our school values of love, honour, and trust. Children learn to show love through kindness and encouragement towards others, honour through respect for rules, fairness, and good sportsmanship, and trust through collaboration and reliability within teams. We make full use of outdoor spaces and community links to promote a lifelong connection and positive mindset about physical activity. Our intent is to inspire pupils to flourish not only as active learners but as compassionate, confident individuals who see success in moving and being active.
