Kintsugi is a special Japanese way of fixing broken pottery using a shiny golden glue. Instead of hiding the cracks, it makes them stand out and shows that being broken and repaired can still be beautiful.
This week, Rowan Class learned about the story of Kintsugi and the idea of “golden glue.” The children created their own artwork inspired by the story and talked about its important messages, such as how we can learn from our mistakes, fix things when they go wrong and see the beauty in being unique.
