Sapperton had an incredible week of activities to celebrate British Science Week. The theme for this year was Curiosity: What's your question? The children shared wonderful ideas, thinking like scientists and asking lots of fascinating questions about the world around them inspired by our question stations. Maple looked in depth at our oceans reflecting on what happens to plastics and how we can protect our environment. Elder investigated how the speed and size of meteorites can affect teh size of craters and Rowan used the outdoors to observe how our environment is affected by different things. Then they worked to create artwork inspired by all they had learnt. Finally, they created a collaborative wave picture by recycling plastics and practiced drawing like scientists to create accurate images of sea life.
