We were delighted to welcome a Humanist visitor to our school to talk to the children about Humanism and what it means to have a non-religious worldview.
The children listened carefully as our visitor explained some of the ideas and values that are important to Humanists, including kindness, fairness, respect for others and thinking carefully about the world around us. The children had the opportunity to ask questions and share their own ideas.
Our visitor also spent time with one of our class groups, where the children explored Humanism in more detail and enjoyed an interesting and thoughtful discussion.
It was a valuable opportunity for the children to learn about a different worldview and to develop their understanding and respect for the diverse beliefs and perspectives found within our wider community.
