Students in Maple Class enjoyed an exciting and informative visit from the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) this week. The session gave children a fascinating insight into the vital work carried out by RNLI lifeguards and volunteers, who help keep people safe at the coast.
During the visit, pupils learned about water safety, including how to stay safe at the beach and what to do if they or someone else gets into trouble in the water.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for students to try on real RNLI clothing and equipment. From helmets to lifejackets, the children were excited to experience what lifeguards wear while carrying out their lifesaving duties.
The visit was both educational and memorable, leaving pupils with valuable knowledge that could one day help save lives. We would like to thank the RNLI team for taking the time to visit and inspire our students.
