Sapperton Primary School marked the Easter season today with a special service at St Kenelm’s Church, bringing pupils, staff, and the community together in a meaningful celebration.
The service was led by the children, who shared their learning and reflections on the Easter story. Elder Class thoughtfully retold the story of Easter and led the congregation in prayers, helping everyone reflect on its message. Rowan Class contributed by reading a beautiful Easter poem, adding a moment of reflection.
Younger pupils from Maple and Saplings classes delighted everyone with their performance of “The Seed Song,” which highlighted themes of growth, hope, and new life.
Rev Steve also spoke to the children about the importance of thinking carefully about our actions, words, and thoughts. He reminded everyone that Jesus helps us to let go of the things we shouldn’t do, say, or think, encouraging us to make positive choices in our daily lives.
The service was a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to come together and reflect on the meaning of Easter.
