Preliminary Visits to School

We offer children in their final pre-school year a series of afternoon visits to enable them to become accustomed to the environment in which their full-time education will begin.

Preliminary visits commence in the spring term and are held fortnightly to start with, then weekly towards the end of the summer term , excluding school holidays. These sessions, on Thursday afternoons, will begin at 1.15 pm and end at 3,15 pm, with Mrs Walker, who takes our Reception class.

During this time we find that children make a promising start in getting to know each other, their future teacher and the layout of the school.

Having had a very positive experience, the children are able to start full time on the first day of the autumn term.
