Welcome to Beech class page where you find everything you want to know about our class.

This first term is all about settling in and exploring our classroom environment. In our ‘All About Me’ topic, we will be discussing our families, homes and bodies. We will talk about our interests, draw self-portraits and discover more about each other. This theme will follow the children's current interests as well as linking in with events around school, such as our first school trip to the Cheltenham Literature Festival.

This half term we will begin learning our phase 2 sounds from our phonic scheme, Floppy’s Phonics. This phonic scheme will underpin all of the reading and writing that we do in class. Throughout the day, the children will have many opportunities to listen to stories and sing songs.

In R.E we are looking at “Being special: where do we belong?” We will be exploring this with stories and discussions.

We will also be doing Charanga Music and P.E, focussing on games skills.
