Welcome to Beech class page where you find everything you want to know about our class.
During our half term topic, ‘On the Farm’, the children will learn about a range of animals and farm life.
We will be reading and basing our learning around the following texts:
- - Oliver’s Vegetables
- - Farmer Duck
- - The Amazing Life Cycle of Butterflies
- - What the Ladybird Heard
Using their acquired knowledge, the children will have opportunities to express their own creativity. They’ll describe the life cycle of a butterfly and prepare their own vegetable soup in class, then write simple instructions about this.
We will be comparing the countryside to cities and we will be developing our map skills by creating a map of our school.
In Art, we will be exploring different ways of printing, including using a variety of fruit and vegetables, water and ink and outdoor materials.
In PE this term we are continuing with our games skills using a range of equipment and hoping for sunny weather to be outside!
We are looking at why the word God is special to Christians in RE.
Our Charanga Music unit is called Imagination and is all about us using our imagination in a musical way.
What a busy term this will be!
